Editorial policy

Machine Rails is a news outlet covering ai agents on-chain, agentic payments, crypto wallets and signing, agent infrastructure, decentralized storage and compute. This page describes how stories are sourced, how sponsored material is labeled, and how errors are corrected. It is linked from every page and referenced in the site's structured data so that readers and automated systems can find it.

Sourcing

Every story links to the primary material it draws on — announcements, documentation, on-chain data, or filings — and those links are extracted into a Sources list at the end of the story and into the sources field of its JSON representation. Claims that cannot be tied to a linked source are attributed in the text.

Press releases and sponsored content

Material supplied by a company, protocol, or PR firm — including paid press releases — is published with that origin stated in the body of the story, and is not edited to obscure it. Such stories carry the same dateline and byline conventions as original reporting but are labeled so that the distinction is visible in every format the story is served in.

Corrections

When a story is corrected, the change is made in place and the story's updated timestamp advances; it appears in the byline, in the Markdown and JSON alternates, and in dateModified in the page's structured data. Material corrections are noted at the end of the story. Stories are not silently removed.

Authorship

Stories are bylined to Machine Rails. Contributions arrive as pull requests against the site's content repository, are reviewed before publication, and are published as Markdown first; HTML, feeds, and JSON are derived from that source.
