# Bankr adds Coinbase account connection to its AI agent

Bankr [said on X](https://x.com/bankrbot/status/2118495853933711382) on November 6, 2026 that users can now connect a Coinbase account to its agent. The post says users can check Coinbase portfolios, trade crypto, stocks and futures, and move funds, all from one chat. It directs users to bankr.bot/coinbase to get started.

Bankr [founder 0xDeployer wrote](https://x.com/0xDeployer/status/2118500910007730671) on X the same day that the connection uses Bankr's native support for the Model Context Protocol, and that users can connect and trade directly through a Coinbase account. MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications to outside data sources and tools.

[Bankr's documentation](https://docs.bankr.bot/docs/agent/advanced.md) describes how MCP servers work on its platform in general. Once a server is added, every tool it provides becomes callable through Bankr. Servers can be added in the Bankr Console or by describing them in chat. With OAuth servers, the user signs in through a popup without pasting a key, and Bankr keeps the tokens in encrypted storage. MCP servers are not used on X or Farcaster, and a wallet can have up to 20 of them.
